The British Keralites Association (BKA) Golden Jubilee

2026 marks a historic milestone for the British Keralites Association (BKA) as we proudly celebrate our 50th Anniversary.

Our journey began half a century ago in 1976 with the founding of the Middlesex Malayalee Club by the pioneering first generation of Malayalees.

This legacy grew in 1982 when their children formed the Southall Keralites Youth Association (SKYA) to champion youth and sports, eventually leading to a powerful unification as the Middlesex Keralites Association (MKA) in 1994, before evolving into the BKA in 2004.

For five decades, our association has served as a vital bridge across generations. Today, the very youth who energized our movement in the 1982 expansion stand ready to pass the torch to the next generation of leaders.

As we look back on 50 years of fostering Malayalam language education, celebrating our rich cultural arts, and supporting health and social care initiatives, we renew our commitment to empowering the UK Malayalee community for the next half-century and beyond.
